AYA Awards

The AYA Awards is about our future – the people who are farsighted enough to invest in it. Started in year 2005, the Awards is in line with AYA’s objective of building tomorrow’s leaders today and to create a better and brighter future for Malaysia by inspiring, inciting and inculcating responsible attitudes and actions especially – but not exclusively – in the hearts and minds of our youths.

The Awards serve as an encouragement to emerging individuals and responsible institutions to persevere in their dreams of improving the quality of life for themselves and for those around them in spite of the difficulties and obstacles they encounter.

In the past, we have acknowleged invividuals and companies within two categories:
1. Most Outstanding Youth of the Year Award
2. Youth-Friendly Company of the Year Award

The Awards is represented by the Durian for its hard, rough and prickly surface on the outside but soft, gentle and pliable on the inside – not unlike many of its Malaysian fans. In order to get to the “fruit”, we need to work hard on the “shell”.
