From this internship programme, I learnt that a team is important in the workplace. Everyone contribution of the team matters and helps make thing possible. I also learnt a bit of my myself and how I act in a workforce, the atmosphere is distinctively different than normal high school life, which I have to learn to adapt eventually.

Yes! I would definitely recommend this internship, especially to those have just finished their IGCSE/SPM. This programme gave me a sneak peek on how an office in the working world functions. It may not be the full experience, but it helps prepares me for the full experience.

During my time here in AYA, under LINets, I got to try out different roles such as designing social media content; which helped me gain knowledge about the importance of media and how to share safe and responsible messages to the audience. Not only that, but I learned how LINets have been working together with Yayasan Hasanah and in different schools to reach out to more students; which helped broaden my own experiences on how to conduct a mental health workshop with teachers too.

Yes I would recommend this programme to others, because I believe that anyone would be blessed to work in an office with so much warmth and love. Everyone in AYA is experienced, responsible and hard-working, and there is so much to be gained just from observing and learning from them, whether it be technical skills, like administration and event planning, or soft skills like effective communication and teamwork.

While I was at AYA under LINets, I gained many new friends and have been exposed to social situations that my past self might have struggled to navigate. It was also nice to see the behind-the-scene works of video shootings and mental health talks, both which I have always only been on the receiving end of. I believe that this programme serves as an excellent first step for lost youths who are about to venture into the adult world. The safe and supportive environment here allows them to grow at their own pace and build up their self-confidence to face future adversities.

My experience in interning has been fruitful as I have had the opportunity to help out in shoots and edit different videos. I am also glad I managed to learn a bit more about after effects and to produce intro videos. I would recommend this to other young people as the internship would give you exposure to experience the industry. You would also make a lot of new friends as the people in AYA and Flatfish are friendly.

During my time at AYA, I was assigned to an admin role. To support in coordination & execution of Revo Tours mainly. It was a great & humbling experience, for myself as I truly learned the Heart of service while my time at AYA. I got to see leaders in action, and putting their hands to the plow, where words in actions were met. I was definitely not the most organised person, but through my time at AYA it has definitely given training to be more organised & detailed oriented.
